December in Kenya
I’m very excited to be participating in the International Literary Seminars inaugural workshops in Nairobi and Lamu, Kenya from December 6th to the 21st of this year (less than a month away!). Grateful for the chance to work with emerging and established East African writers and to experience Lamu—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest Swahili settlement in Kenya. The reality of the pending experience has not quite settled in yet, but it will as the semester comes to a grinding and stuttering close. Thanks much to ILS for the fellowship opportunity and for organizing such an incredible program.
